CNG cars have seen a steady increase in demand in the last few years. Customers prefer the CNG variants over petrol ones lately. Their market share grew for 6.3% to 19.5% in the last five years. So today, we have curated a list of best-selling CNG cars India (FY2025) and how much units of the car were sold in the year 2025.

10. Maruti Baleno CNG

A premium hatchback , the Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno was launched in 2022. It has a 55L CNG tank and a claimed mileage of 30.6 km/kg. It has good safety features and technologies like 7″ SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen with voice assistant. Priced between ₹8.28 – 10.7 L, the Baleno sold 24,220 units in FY2025.

9. Tata Nexon CNG

Launched in September 2024, the Tata Nexon is India’s first turbocharged CNG SUV. It has a twin tank setup and gives mileage of 24 km/kg. With 16 inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, air-purifier, 8 speaker system and much more in the top variant, the Tata Nexon ranges between ₹8.99 L – ₹14.59 L (Ex-Showroom). This beaut sold 34,712 units in FY2025.

8. Maruti Fronx CNG

The Maruti Fronx was launched in July 2023. With an ARAI‑certified mileage at 28.51 km/kg and features like hill-hold assist, dual-tone interiors to rear parking sensors (top variant), price of Maruti Fronx CNG ranges between ₹8.41 L – ₹9.27 L(Ex- Showroom). It sold a decent 42,051 units this year in India.

7. Hyundai Aura CNG

Launched in September 2024, the Hyundai’s Aura is one of the most affordable CNG sedan in India. It has a 65L single cylinder with a mileage of 28.4 km/kg. With adequate safety features and a strong build the Aura in priced at ₹7.49 L-₹9.11 L (Ex-Showroom). It sold 49,464 units all over India.

6. Maruti Eeco CNG

This 5 seater and cargo van was launched in 2020 and has excellent fuel efficiency with real-world mileage between 25–28 km/kg. With a 65L tank, it is priced at ₹6.58 L(Ex-Showroom) and sold about 59,520 units in FY2025.

5. Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG

Reaching halfway, the Brezza gained immense love after it’s launch in 2023. It give out a mileage of 25.5 km/kg and is a powerful compact SUV. It’s price ranges from ₹9.1 to 2.05 L(Ex-Showroom) and sold a staggering 70,928 units this year.

4. Tata Punch ev CNG

Launched in January 2025, the Tata Punch.ev CNG is a micro SUV that delivers a mileage of 26.12 km/kg and features a 60L tank setup. From projector headlamps, semi-digital instrument cluster, and a 7″ infotainment system, the Punch.ev offers modern tech at a smart price. It is priced between ₹7.10 L – ₹9.68 L (Ex-Showroom). It sold 71,113 units in FY2025.

3. Maruti Dzire CNG

This compact sedan by Maruti was introduced with a CNG option in 2022. It boasts a mileage of 31.12 km/kg—one of the best in the segment—and comes with a 55L tank. With features like cruise control, push button start, and rear AC vents in higher variants, it is priced between ₹8.39 L – ₹9.07 L (Ex-Showroom). The Dzire CNG drove off with 89,015 units sold in FY2025.

2. Maruti WagonR CNG

Maruti’s popular tallboy, the WagonR, has been a CNG leader for years. With a 60L tank and an incredible mileage of 34.05 km/kg, it continues to be a smart buy for city driving. Launched in 2020 in its latest generation, it offers dual-tone options, touchscreen infotainment, and dual airbags. It is priced between ₹6.45 L – ₹7.10 L (Ex-Showroom). This reliable hatchback sold 1,02,128 units in FY2025.

1. Maruti Ertiga CNG

The Ertiga CNG has been a top choice among families and fleet buyers since its launch in 2019. It offers a mileage of 26.11 km/kg and comes with a 60L tank. This 7-seater MPV includes features like SmartPlay infotainment, roof-mounted AC for rear rows, and dual airbags. It is priced between ₹9.87 L – ₹11.63 L (Ex-Showroom). The Ertiga CNG found homes with 1,29,120 buyers in FY2025.
