At Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, Maserati unveiled a new model derived from the MC20 supercar. There are lots of changes and updates in design of the exterior and interior and yet some things remain unchanged. Just like the MC20, the new Maserati MCPura will be offered in two versions — a coupe and a convertible. The convertible will be called the MCPura Cielo, which means “sky” in Italian.
Maserati MCPura Engine

The MCPura uses the same 3.0-litre Nettuno engine found in other Maseratis. It stays unchanged, producing 621 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque, and revs all the way up to 8,000 rpm.

Maserati MCPura Interior and Exterior

On the outside, the MCPura gets updates mostly around the lower part of the car. The front now has a sharper “shark nose” design, and the bumpers are inspired by the GT2 Stradale. Maserati also offers a big rear spoiler as an optional add-on. Since the lower design plays a big role in how air flows around the car, Maserati worked closely with racing experts Dallara, spending over 2,000 hours in wind tunnels and running 1,000+ simulations to improve the aerodynamics—even though they haven’t shared exact figures yet.
The MCPura features Maserati’s iconic Trident logo in a unique magenta shade with blue mica, placed on the grille, C-pillar, wheels, and sides of the car. What’s cool is that these details have a glossy finish on the coupe and a matte finish on the convertible, creating a nice contrast with the body color. Inside, the Alcantara seats have a laser-etched design that gives them a cool 3D look.
